That Vow 02:50
Do you recall making that vow? The one you swore to never say out loud. Well I've come to call your bluff and I hope you're feeling proud. Just blink twice if you are still listening or I'll leave and give you some time to yourself. Daydreams of when I rubbed my eyes only to find you where I said goodnight. If I'd have known it would be the last time I swear to god I wouldn't at all. So instead I'll visit tomorrow but I know you won't have much to say anymore. And you'll sit still and eat up the silence. While I crack a drink and a smile. Well I think I'll lie here for now and maybe then. I think of when I held your head and we both thought that it wouldn't ever end. Well I've come to tell you that I'm sorry. And I've come to smooth things out. And I've come to make you smile. And I've come to bring you the news. And I've come to tell you that it's alright. Yeah, I've come to tell you that it's true. And I've come to tell you that I miss you. And I've come because I don't know what else to do.

I Can't Wait 03:28
I said, “come over here, young man, you know you talk too much. It wasn’t long ago I tied your shoes around my feet. Your saddle rests so high you climb on heads to take your throne. If I know one thing I know that you know we don’t share our thoughts. Now I can’t wait for you to go home. My body aches for some solitude. And I can’t wait for you to go home. I am a glutton for dodging my point in arguments. I am a sucker for all things involving passiveness. I guess it’s not your fault you see right through my empty threats. Your apathetic entitled ways spark words I can’t force out. And I can’t wait for you to go home. My body aches, for some solitude. See my hands shake on my scarlet nose. And I can’t wait for you to go home. I can’t wait for you to go home. My body aches, for some solitude. See my hands shake on my scarlet nose. And I can’t wait for you to go home, until I go home, until we all go home.” I said, “come over here, young man, you know you talk too much.”

Gregory 02:49
When Gregory was just 23 years young he found himself a wife, a car, and home. He looked up to the sky and said, "thanks" every night but that wasn't enough. Greg worked in his office beside all his friends with plaques and ribbons on his wall to remind him- pretending to care for years can pay off if concrete matter fills your void. When Gregory was just 23 years young he found himself a wife, a car, and home. He looked up to the sky and said, "thanks" every night but that wasn't enough. So one day Greg left for lunch and jumped into his car and then just at once he realized he was living an idea, not the life he'd had in mind. So he called his wife and said, "I won't be home tonight." And before he knew, Greg was flying threw the air as his car hugged a lamppost yet he smiled because- when Gregory was just 23 years young he found himself a wife, a car, and home. He looked up to the sky and said, "thanks" every night but that wasn't enough.

It’s 2 a.m. on December 31st and I’m standing alone on this cold clear night. Burning a cigar and thinking about this life. (Chorus) Maybe it’s just me but it seems that everything is black. And maybe it’s just me but it seems that I’m not coming back. Late for work again this morning and now the car wont start. I want to call and hear our voice but it pierces through my heart. (Chorus) I feel like such a loser because I’ve gone nowhere. And oh I’m such a coward because I won't meet your stare. (Chorus)
