but that wasn't enough.

Greg worked in his office beside all his friends
with plaques and ribbons on his wall to remind him-
pretending to care for years can pay off if
concrete matter fills your void.

So one day Greg left for lunch and jumped into his car
and then just at once he realized
he was living an idea, not the life he'd had in mind.
So he called his wife and said, "I won't be home tonight."
And before he knew, Greg was flying threw the air
as his car hugged a lamppost
yet he smiled because-
